However, that being said the unit I received was a special edition that was only unveiled at the launch event today. You can get the Nord 4 in one of 3 different \u201cNordtones\u201d (or colours) the two tones that had been announced before the event were Mercurial Silver and Midnight Black. We had to wait until today to announce the third tone. It is called Oasis Green and it is the one I have been given. Its main camera is powered by a 50 megapixel Sony<\/p>\n<p>LYT-600 sensor and features Optical Image Stabilisation, ideal for fixing shaky shots.<\/p>\n<p>It also features the same RAW photography algorithms seen in the flagship OnePlus<\/p>\n<p>12 Series, allowing expert photographers to adjust and tweak their shot to perfection.OnePlus Nord 4 also features a 112-degree 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 16<\/p>\n<p>megapixel Sony selfie camera.<\/p>\n<p>Fit for the future<\/p>\n<p>At its Summer Launch Event, OnePlus also announced that OnePlus Nord 4 will<\/p>\n<p>receive four major Android updates and six years of security updates, the longest<\/p>\n<p>ever support package OnePlus has ever put in place. This will ensure OnePlus Nord<\/p>\n<p>4 remains safe to use for many years to come, but OnePlus also stated that this<\/p>\n<p>alone was not enough. At its Summer Launch Event, OnePlus stated that phones<\/p>\n<p>with long software commitments but without extensive fast and smooth testing were<\/p>\n<p>like strong houses built on weak foundations: they look good, but you wouldn\u2019t want<\/p>\n<p>to live in one.<\/p>\n<p>To back up its commitment to providing fast and smooth experiences for its users,<\/p>\n<p>OnePlus also announced that OnePlus Nord 4 features the longest ever fluency<\/p>\n<p>rating awarded to a phone \u2013 72 months of fluency, as certified by TUV SUD.<\/p>\n<p>To achieve this unheard-of rating, OnePlus Nord 4 was subjected to a gruelling<\/p>\n<p>range of tests over a tortuous period. These tests involved precisely measuring,<\/p>\n<p>using a high-speed camera, how long a new phone takes to open apps and complete<\/p>\n<p>a range of basic tasks. The phone was then put absolute hell by simulating six yearsof heavy use with a range of highly demanding tests. These tests involved copying<\/p>\n<p>24GB of 4K video files onto it and deleting them at intervals to fragment the memory.<\/p>\n<p>Then creating 8,500 photos, 850 music files and 85 videos. 4,500 pieces of contact<\/p>\n<p>information, 15,000 text messages. 1,500 call records. Finally, OnePlus even<\/p>\n<p>installed and deleted 180 applications to seriously stress the phone out. The OnePlus Pad 2 comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor onboard and is supported by 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It still carries the same screen aspect ratios from the previous generation devices at 12.1\u2032 diagonal but with an aspect ratio of 7:5 and a resolution 3,000 x 2,120 pixels at a density of 303 PPI. The screen will support up to 900 nits of brightness which will be great for use in all but the brightest of conditions. I will adjust the refresh rate depending on what is being done on the device at the time. The supported refresh rates start from 30Hz and go all the way up to 144Hz with various stops in between.
